We will soon be holding clinics for the 2020 flu campaign. With Covid 19, it is even more important than ever to have your flu vaccination and with this in mind we will have to run the clinics in a different way.
Please do not attend if you have Covid 19 symptoms.
If you cannot attend your appointment please cancel it so we can offer it to another person.
Please come on your own unless your companion is also booked for a flu vaccine – please do not come early as you will have to wait outside until your appointment time due to strict social distancing requirements.
Please wear a face covering and loose clothing so it is easy for the Nurse to vaccinate you – this will reduce the time you have to spend in the surgery.
We will be operating a one way system at each site, so you will leave the building by the back or side door.
We have egg free flu vaccines available this year. For those who have a severe allergic response to eggs.
Please note that, if you are aged between 50 and 64 and not in a clinical at risk group, the earliest you will be offered a flu vaccination is November, providing there is sufficient vaccine. No appointments will be offered for people in this age group until then. If you have booked an appointment then unfortunately, you will be turned away. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are aged 50 to 64 and are in a clinical ‘at risk’ group which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.
